Pascale Naessens ‘Best of the Best’
Pascale Naessens won the ‘Best of the Best Gourmand Cookbook Award’ with her cookbooks in the ‘Best Cookbook Series’ category.
The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards are celebrating their 20th anniversary and the ‘Best of the Best’ of the winners from the last 20 years were awarded as a way of celebrating this momentous occasion. The award went to the complete series of cookbooks published by Pascale Naessens since 2010 under the titles Mijn Pure Keuken (My Pure Kitchen) 1 & 2, Puur Genieten (Pure Enjoyment) 1 & 2 and Puur Eten (Pure Food) 1 & 2.
Her latest book Puur Eten 2 was published on 10th September and has since managed to continuously hold on to the top spot in the top 100 of Belgium’s best-selling books. Pascale Naessens was presented with the award at the Frankfurter Buchmesse by the Chairperson of the organisation, Edouard Cointreau. Pascale Naessens has won this prestigious award twice before, in Paris in 2013 and in Beijing in 2014.
Prizes were also awarded to authors, publishers, photographers and designers from the world of cookbooks. Jamie Oliver won gold with The Naked Chef as Best Cookbook over all these years.
The Frankfurter Buchmesse, which is mainly aimed at professionals from the literary world, is the most important book fair in the world.
