Chicken burgers with bok choy

Love it!

Finely chop the garlic and the herbs. Add the ground chicken, the herbs (leave a little aside for the garnish), the garlic and the curry paste in a bowl and mix together well. Shape the mixture into burger patties.
Cook the bok choy for approximately three minutes in salted water. Remove the water and put the pan back on the heat. Add the roasted sesame seed oil, the soy sauce, and the lime juice, and allow to simmer for two minutes.
In the meantime, fry the chicken burgers five minutes on each side. Serve with finely chopped spring onions and sesame seeds.

Always taste the curry paste before adding it. Some pastes are very spicy, others are very mild. Adjust the amount to taste.

If you want to make this recipe for a larger group of people, bake the chicken burgers in the oven instead of in the pan. First, grease an ovenproof dish with some olive oil and then sprinkle some oil on the burgers.

  • 1 handful of fresh herbs (coriander, dill, parsley...)
  • 3 tablespoons red curry paste
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 bok choy
  • 3 tablespoons roasted sesame seed oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • sesame seeds (to garnish)
